About me
Nat Luna is a Rio de Janeiro-born visual artist based in São Paulo who bridges two decades of high-level strategic leadership with a deep exploration of the balance between reason and sensibility. Her practice, rooted in painting and expressive portraiture, invites viewers to shift their perspective toward a more profound and purposeful way of seeing.
Inspired by the infinitude of the universe and the raw power of human vulnerability, Nat channels the vibrancy of the Brazilian spirit as the primary engine of her work.
How much of our inner universe do we truly allow ourselves to see?
The Tete Series: Portals to the Infinite
The Tetes—derived from the French têtes (heads)—are graceful, whimsical creatures born at the intersection of Nat Luna’s rational inquiry and sensory exploration. Characterized by their signature never-ending heads and sparkling eyes, these figures symbolize the continuity of imagination and a perennial connection to the cosmos.
Through vibrant and pulsating brushwork, Nat revives drawings from her childhood to give life to beings whose expressive gazes carry the density of entire universes. Each work serves as a portal; an invitation to step away from the everyday and dive into the purposeful beauty of the human spirit.
The Tetes celebrate a diversity of perspectives and an aesthetic of vulnerability. By confronting us with their magical and dreamlike viewpoints, the series leads us to an essential realization: there is an infinite universe within each of us.
